Belarus should turn to up-to-date forms of trade on foreign markets
Belarus should turn from the simple forms of trade to the up-to-date methods on foreign markets, Prime Minister of Belarus Sergei Sidorsky said at a session of the Foreign Ministry.
“It is imperative to improve business planning of the companies-exporters being the key instrument of securing balanced foreign trade, achievement of new surplus parameters,” Sergei Sidorsky noted.
The Prime Minister has commissioned the Government and other departments to elaborate a system of measures on involving greater number of small and medium-size companies in exports. Sergei Sidorsky deems it necessary to continue the development of the commodity distribution network abroad.
Besides, the situation should be radically changed in the area of preparing high-quality investment projects on the construction of export-oriented companies in Belarus with the foreign capital.
The Head of Government turned special attention to the necessity of undertaking measures to improve the conception and assortment of national exhibitions of the Republic of Belarus abroad, using contemporary information and communications technologies. Sergei Sidorsky ordered the interested structures to take immediate measures on strengthening the personnel of the marketing services of the companies-exporters with compulsory knowledge of foreign languages.
Attending the session were Prime Minister of Belarus Sergei Sidorsky, chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly Vadim Popov, top officials of the profile commissions of the two chambers of the parliament, heads of the governmental bodies, Belarusian representatives in the executive structures of the Belarus-Russia Union, the CIS and EurAsEC.
The session highlighted the expansion of production of competitive goods for exports, the further diversification of the Belarusian exports, first of all, of science-related, high-technology exports, the country’s and regional exports strategies.
The session considered the problems related to the improvement of the treaty-legal base of the economic relations between Belarus and foreign countries.
