Prime Ministers of Belarus and Russia Andrei Kobyakov and Dmitry Medvedev signed an intergovernmental joint anti-crisis plan in Moscow on 3 March.

The Belarus-Russia intergovernmental plan to create additional conditions for the development of trade and economic cooperation was signed following the talks between the prime ministers of the two countries.

Previously Andrei Kobyakov stated that the plan contains specific points which implementation should be completed within six months of the year.

Belarusian Prime Minister Andrei Kobyakov said when meeting with his Russian counterpart Dmitry Medvedev prior to the session of the Supreme State Council of the Belarus-Russia Union State in Moscow."In accordance with our instructions, experts have worked out an action plan to create additional conditions for the development of trade and economic cooperation. This will be a specific plan, specific measures. I think we will finish the work on it within the next six months,” Andrei Kobyakov said.

According to the Belarusian Prime Minister, this plan will help the two countries restore the volume of the Belarusian-Russian trade which they had two years ago and will have a beneficial effect on economic cooperation between the two countries.

Andrei Kobyakov noted that the Belarusian-Russian intergovernmental dialogue is quite robust. "I think it is also because our trade and economic relations require a certain amount of active effort. We need to restore the volume of trade we had in the good years,” he said.
