The Prime Minister Andrei Kobyakov met with Ambassador of India in Belarus Manoj Kumar Bharti. The Head of the Government expressed interest in expanding the presence of Belarus in India through the establishment of joint ventures and new science and technology centers in the Indian regions. The Prime Minister also expressed his readiness to connect to the initiatives of India and, in particular, the initiative "Do in India." According to the Belarusian head of the government, today there is mutual interest in cooperation in the mining and oil industries. Andrei Kobyakov noted that many of the ongoing and planned projects require special attention and support to the leadership of both countries. In this regard, he assured the Ambassador that the Government of Belarus will continue to provide all possible support and practical assistance to the successful implementation of joint projects and initiatives. In general, during the meeting the Prime Minister noted that in the four years since the appointment of Manoj Kumar Bharti as Ambassador there was a significant intensification of the bilateral cooperation between Belarus and India. Despite these difficult events in the world economy, trade and economic relations between the two countries have developed steadily: from year to year, sides added to the volume of mutual trade, - said Andrei Kobyakov. This, according to him, said, first of all, that the two economies are complementary and partners have very good prospects. The Head of the Government expressed confidence that the level that has so far, has great potential for growth. Belarus and India have quite a great attention to the implementation of investment projects, said the Head of the Government. In particular, a project of reconstruction of Grodno CHP-2. In addition, with the participation of Indian companies in the pharmaceutical field, a number of projects in the High-Tech Park to open the Belarusian-Indian training center. Andrei Kobyakov also noted that Belarus is ready to give India a strategically important area in the vast common economic space EAEU. He stressed that the first meeting of the co-research group, which took place less than a month ago, is an important step in the rapprochement of India not only from Belarus, but also with its partners in the Eurasian Economic Union. |
