The Government action Program for 2025-2029 is a roadmap towards accomplishing the key priorities and tasks set out in the new five-year plan, Belarusian Prime Minister Aleksandr Turchin said at a meeting of the House of Representatives in Minsk on 7 May.
The Prime Minister presented the Government action Program for 2025-2029 in the House of Representatives of the National Assembly on 7 May.
“The Government action Program has been developed in accordance with Article 106 of the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus and is an integral part of the key program documents for the medium-term period. The whole package is based on the Program of socio-economic development of the country - a goal-setting document, which defines the tasks that are in sync with the current trends of economic development in the next five-year period and the tools for their implementation.
The Government action Program has been prepared in accordance with the election program of the Head of state, the president’s instructions to a new Government and the inaugural speech of the President of the Republic of Belarus, the Prime Minister said. “In addition, when preparing the document, the Government relied on the results of a large-scale sociological study of the expectations of Belarusians conducted by the Belarusian Institute for Strategic Research. In fact, the Program is a roadmap towards accomplishing the key priorities and tasks of the new five-year plan, which defines a regulatory environment for the development of the economic and social sectors. We will need to adopt at least nine laws and amend ten codes of the Republic of Belarus. In this regard we will closely cooperate with the Parliament,” he emphasized.
Aleksandr Turchin revealed the strategic priorities for the Belarusian Government in 2025-2029 as he delivered a report in the House of Representatives.
“The preparation of the Program was based on the fundamental principles of saving resources and their efficient use; systemic, prompt and transparent decision-making; initiative and personal responsibility of Government members,” the Prime Minister said.
The strategic priorities for the Belarusian Government in 2025-2029 are the improvement of welfare and standards of living of people. “All instruments of economic policy will be aimed at achieving these priorities. Each section of the Program contains goals, objectives and mechanisms for their implementation. It envisages digitized indicators of key parameters and members of the Government responsible for implementation. All the tasks are balanced by sources,” Aleksandr Turchin emphasized.
“The Program includes three sets of measures: institutional, those related to the accomplishment of the priorities of the five-year plan, and sectoral ones,” the Prime Minister added.
