With the consent of the Head of state, the Council of Ministers has decided to provide humanitarian aid to the Republic of Cuba, the Republic of Mozambique and the Islamic Republic of Iran including food, medical supplies and essential goods to support the population’s basic needs. Belarusian Prime Minister Aleksandr Turchin signed the resolution.
The humanitarian cargo for the Republic of Cuba is expected to include 30 tonnes of whole milk powder and 3.7 tonnes of medical products (16 items). The shipment to the Republic of Mozambique will comprise 10 tonnes of canned meat, 8.3 tonnes of dry milk powder for children, 10 tonnes of skimmed milk powder, 10 tonnes of wheat flour and 5 tonnes of medical products (10 items). Belarus will send 6 frame tents, 103 folding beds, 300 blankets and 2,900 towels and 6.75 tonnes of medical supplies (32 items) to the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The total humanitarian aid, including delivery, will exceed Br2.2 million.
