Belarusian Prime Minister Aleksandr Turchin outlined how Belarus will increase exports and stimulate domestic demand while presenting the Government’s report to the Head of state.
There are two traditional directions here - exports and the domestic market. “First - exports at 103.7%. The foundation is diversifying supplies to markets in far away countries and the CIS. Corresponding task matrices for 2026 have been approved. Furthermore, we have assigned specific officials to various countries and regions of Russia. Ambassadors have been given personalized tasks in their host countries - ranging from increasing supplies to establishing assembly operations. Strategic objectives focused on economic results have been defined for all personnel on assignment. Export support instruments have been revised. To avoid focusing solely on the Russian market and to encourage exporters to seek new ones, we have differentiated the levels of financial support based on the principle: the more distant the market and the more complex the product, the greater the budget support,” the Prime Minister said.
The second direction is the domestic market. “Amid the contraction of the Russian market, we have organized work to stimulate domestic demand. With the consent of the Head of state, we are implementing a large-scale program to re-equip farmers with domestic machinery. The main focus is on high-horsepower tractors and large-sized equipment - more than 2,500 units. Over Br2 billion have been allocated for these purposes,” the Belarusian Head of Government said.
In addition to Decree No. 146, the Government has developed a special credit product that enables any business entity to acquire modern large-sized equipment on favorable leasing terms.
