Government extends ban on import of certain goods across Belarus-Lithuania border

The Government has extended the ban on the import of certain goods across the Belarusian-Lithuanian section of the state border. Belarusian Prime Minister Aleksandr Turchin signed the relevant resolution on 30 March.

Amendments have been made to Resolution No. 182 of the Council of Ministers of 14 March 2024, which established a ban on the movement through border crossing points on the Belarusian-Lithuanian border of a number of goods imported for sale on the territory of Belarus, regardless of their country of origin.

The ban has been extended until 31 December 2027. The list of goods subject to the import ban under Resolution No. 182 remains unchanged.

In addition, due to Poland’s reopening of the border crossing points Bobrowniki (Berestovitsa) and Kuznica Bialostocka (Bruzgi) and the resumption of traffic in these areas of freight vehicles and truck tractors registered in EU countries crossing the Belarusian-Polish border, Resolution No. 599 of the Council of Ministers of 31 October 2025 has been amended to expand the list of locations for refueling vehicles corresponding to the road border crossing points.
